We are awaiting Carfax to approve us to see if we can get instant car reports for you. If this happens we will be asking for vin numbers on our vehicles when posting them. If you put in a vin number it will help because you will get a carfax label next to your post.

CarbsofHartford has a new look and feel. We eliminated a lot of things that people where not using, cleaned up the menus and more. If you see anything that needs to change let me know or else just keep up with the good work. Remember we are free.

Cars have certainly changed over the years, all of the electronics in them and sensors are very aggravating. My Ford has a light that goes off when the gas cap isn't tightened, and the jeep uses a sensor to determine the speed for the speedometer reading, i mean why not just a cable like we used to have. If something is wrong with the car it is usually the electronic system, the system that is suppose to tell me that there is something wrong with the vehicle, what sense does that make. The other problem is that people now rely on these systems to determine if something is wrong. Whats wrong with opening the hood to check the fluids once and a while, check the tire pressure, and changing the oil on time? Although we have perfected things like fuel injection, and exhaust waste, give me the old carb that you can adjust with a screwdriver. When it comes to everything else the word is 'the simpler, the better'. Why not think the same way for a vehicle? If you want to add electronic stuff, add stuff that doesn't make your vehicle stop running and is not connected to the performance of the vehicle such as, hmmmmmm, a good stereo. And now that car dealers have all there devices that can erase all the error codes on the vehicles main computer what good is the computer to us. The dealer sells you a vehicle and within 90 days the engine light comes on saying something is wrong like the speedometer, thats the engine light that came on before the vehicle was given to you, the one with the code that the dealer cleared out before selling you the vehicle. Does this mean the vehicle has more mileage than you thought, well guess what, yes it does. Give me a good oldie, I'll feel much better like a chevy impala, ford galaxy.

Well I guess you can call me a grumpy old man now, but I'm not alone. When I go to work everyone seems to call me the old man. I kinda don't mind, it makes me distinguished among the young ones. At home all the kids call me a grumpy old man too so with that in mind I guess I am. So if you ever see me anywhere you can call me a grumpy old man, it's ok and I wont take it personally and heres why. You see the CARBS of Hartford is a fifty year old car club and it is made up of grumpy old men, thats right, grumpy old men, like me I might add:) Now there is one guy I know that is really grumpy, Tom Mahoney, oh man he's grumpy but don't f**k with him, but if your on his good side like I am then he'll talk to you and at least try to point you in the right direction. In fact if you try real hard to accomplish something he'll do his best to help you. Now there was a guy named Dave Farley, he was the president of Carbs of Hartford. He wasn't a grumpy guy, in fact the reason why he was the president of the club is because he knew how to control all the grumps and make them get along with each other, and while doing that he put together a rather fine organization. Since Mr. Farley's death however the grumps are kinda unorganized. There still doing there thing I suppose but there having a rough time. more..

Hello All,
Today I ran into a problem trying to get to my other website, www.freeauctionnetwork.com. This website is on the same server and www.carbsofhartford.com but i couldn't get into it.
To resolve the problem i went into comcast live chat and the lady there told me they do not block websites.
I then called comcast on the phone and explained to them the difficulty i was having and the tech on the phone told me they do not block websites. I then listened for a good 20 mins to him explaing to me to run a wire from my comuter directly to there modem etc, and he told me to delete my history in my browser, and this and that, I'm sure you know the routine they gave me.
To prove to him that comcast was in fact at fault i hooked up my iphone to my computer, unplugged the comcast wire, and used PDAnet on my iphone as an internet connection (This is a feature on the iphone to use it as an internet connection, this is through the 3g network AT&T) and my website popped right up.
So comcast is now blocking www.freeauctionnetwork.com at this time and it is not my connection, my router, or anything else, it is comcast.
After having comcast for 9 years im getting tired of paying a premium bill for my bundle package and come to find out they are blocking some of my websites.
Well if you have the same problem let me know here so i know that i'm not losing it. I feel like i need a friend to tell me that i'm not losing it :)
